Transformation Environments

The transformation environments consist of a datasqill Server and a datasqill Repository that datasqill Clients access.

datasqill Server

Role-based Access Control is used for Client access to the datasqill Server. Appropriate permissions are required for both reading and writing.

datasqill Repository

The datasqill Repository is a database that runs on the server. datasqill Clients use a technical user for access.

The datasqill Administrator must specify the associated connection data with JDBC URL, technical user, and password when creating a transformation environment. They use the menu item Settings - Transformation Databases in the datasqill Client.

The connection data are then entered when creating new (plus symbol) or adjusting (Edit button) a transformation environment.

Entered passwords are not displayed to regular datasqill users or the datasqill Administrator for security reasons.
