Getting Started

If the prerequisites are met and the credentials are entered correctly, the datasqill Client starts and a tree view of the available transformation environments appears on the left side.

If permissions are missing, a warning is displayed containing the username and hostname of the client machine in the format Hostname/Username. This username and hostname must be authorized by the datasqill Admin for the corresponding datasqill environment.

When a transformation environment is opened, it is displayed in 4 areas:

• Transformations is used for defining transformations. Transformations are captured on worksheets. Worksheets are stored in a folder structure of any depth, through which you can navigate with the Explorer. See Concepts > Transformations for details.
• Batches is used for defining executions and their scheduling. See Concepts > Scheduled Runs.
• Runs is used for monitoring. The runs are organized in a tree structure by date. Runs that are currently active or in an error state are displayed under "Recent". See Concepts > Runs.
• Settings contains the overview of database connections available for the transformation environment
